NEW ORLEANS — The Coast Guard provided an overflight of the Houma levee system for Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA1) and the Army Corps of Engineers, Monday.

Rear Admiral John Nadeau, commander, Eighth Coast Guard District, was joined by the Congressman and Army Colonel Stephen Murphy, commander and district engineer, New Orleans District, as well as Dwayne Bourgeois, executive director, North Lafourche Levee District, aboard a Coast Guard MH-60 Jayhawk Helicopter for an overflight of the levee system and to discuss recent and upcoming levee developments.
