OHS UK expands AW139 offshore fleet with order for two more helicopters

Cologne, 19 November 2025 – Offshore Helicopter Services UK Ltd (OHS UK – part of the Ultimate Aviation Group) announced the signing of a contract to procure two more Leonardo AW139 intermediate twin engine helicopters.

The aircraft are expected to be delivered from Italy’s Vergiate final assembly plant in late 2026. These helicopters will join two AW139 SAR (Search And Rescue) which had been ordered by OHS in late 2024 and that are planned to enter service in the second quarter of 2026.

This latest step from OHS testifies its commitment to providing latest technology contribution to the growing demand for modern, safe and effective operations at sea as well as its confidence into the outstanding capabilities of the AW139. While the first two AW139 for SAR missions will reinforce the 24/7 emergency responsiveness capability of the operator to save lives in the offshore sector in the extreme conditions of the North Sea promptly taking off from OHS’ base in Aberdeen, the additional two AW139s announced today will allow to carry out existing and new energy industry crew change missions.

The AW139’s IOGP (International Association of Oil & Gas Producers) standard OHS will benefit from ensures it meets the most stringent requirements for offshore operations including, among others, 12 crashworthy seats, advanced collision avoidance systems and other emergency features.

Shaun Roseveare, CEO & Owner of Ultimate Aviation Group, said: “Securing these additional AW139 helicopters marks another important milestone in our long-standing partnership with Leonardo. The AW139’s proven performance, versatility and safety standards make it the ideal platform to support both our offshore energy customers and our expanding oil and gas crew change operations. We are investing in aircraft that enable us to deliver reliable, mission-ready capability for our clients while positioning OHS for sustainable global growth.”
