The Eurorsa Rescue Swimmer Meeting 2022 (RSM22) ended on November 18th after four days of presentations, training exercises and exhibitions of Search And Rescue systems
The meeting was take place in the town of Cascais, on the Portuguese Atlantic coastline, where in conjunction with the Portuguese Air Force (Força Aerea Portuguesa), they have set up an event for the European Rescue Swimmers Association members.
The main theme of this RSM edition was based in the Occupational Longevity both the physical and psicologic aspects of the Helicopter Rescue Swimmer work. During this RSM22 the search and rescue helicopter crews members exposed the available tools that every rescue swimmer needs to have to be the best professional possible.
To develop the main theme of this meeting of the European Rescue Swimmers Association, the speakers, coming from all over the world, shared their experiences as well as their preparation, specialized knowledge and studies to allow the other members of Eurorsa to prepare and maintain both their body and mind in a healthy state to extend their professional life in a task as demanding as that of the rescue swimmer, a key part of helicopter aircrews during SAR missions as well as in medical evacuations (medevac).
Those meetings are held for rescue swimmers from all over the world. It allows members to share their knowledge & experiences with other rescue swimmers and to meet with equipment manufacturers and suppliers, to help improve their operations safely and efficiently.
