The last night the Netherlands SAR crews have has another big mission of search for a missing swimmer near the Coast of Katwijk aan Zee.
The teams has been very busy for the last few weeks due to offshore winds and strong currents, that making swimers need life-saving assistance.
The KNRM and the lifeguards have experienced one of the busiest periods in the long of this summer.
However clearly a swimming ban is given by the lifeguards services and the swimmers still go into the sea, it became apparent again the last weekend. The Life Guard services watchstanders launched an AS365 N3 Dauphin 2 helicopter from from base SAR Rotterdam and the rescue boat crews. They had to act dozens of times to save lives on Sunday alone, and several people died after they were rescued from the sea.
People ignore the warnings of the lifeguards, with the fatality consecuencies of this acts.
