ALAMEDA, California. — A Coast Guard Air Station San Francisco MH-65E Dolphin aircrew and partner agencies completed the rescue of a missing man from the Carnegie State Vehicular Recreation Area, near Tracy, California. Saturday evening, July, 19, 2025.

Coast Guard Sector San Francisco watchstanders received a request for rescue helicopter assistance from the Alameda County Fire Department at approximately 9:00 p.m. for a missing adult male found unresponsive by first responders approximately 1,000 feet down an embankment. 

Sector San Francisco watchstanders then coordinated the launch a Coast Guard MH-65E Dolphin Short-Range Recovery Helicopter aircrew from Air Station San Francisco

The MH-65 Dolphin SRR Helicopter aircrew arrived on scene at 10:52 p.m., deployed the rescue swimmer, hoisted the injured man into the aircraft and transferred him to awaiting emergency medical services (EMS) personnel aboard a California Highway Patrol helicopter.
