CHARLESTON, S.C. — A Coast Guard MH-65 Dolphin aircrew medevac a mariner (male) from a recreational vessel 40 nautical miles off Tybee Island, Georgia. Monday, May 13, 2024.

Coast Guard Sector Charleston watchstanders received a notification at 5:25 a.m., from the operator of the Circle Back, a 36-foot sport fisher, stating a 39-year-old male was experiencing heart attack-like symptoms. Watchstanders directed the launch of a Coast Guard Air Station Savannah MH-65E Dolphin Short-Range Recovery Helicopter aircrew to conduct the medical evacuation

The MH-65 Dolphin SRR Helicopter aircrew arrived on scene, deployed the rescue swimmer, hoisted the man and transported him to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah.
