NEW ORLEANS — A Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans MH-60T Jayhawk aircrew medevac a crewmember from the S Timbalier 52 Platform, 23 nautical miles southwest of Port Fourchon, Louisiana. Saturday, June 10, 2023.

U.S. Coast Guard Sector New Orleans watchstanders received a notification at 4:19 a.m. of a 33-year-old crewmember experiencing chest pains aboard the S Timbalier 52 Platform.

The Coast Guard Sector New Orleans watchstanders coordinated the launch of a Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans MH-60T Jayhawk Medium-Range Recovery Helicopter aircrew to assist. 

The MH-60 Jayhawk MRR helicopter aircrew arrived on scene, deployed the rescue swimmer and hoisted the crewmember.

Once onboard the rescue helicopter crew put head to land to transport and transfer him to emergency medical services (EMS) personnel awaiting at University Medical Center New Orleans.

The S Timbalier 52 Platform crewmember was last reported to be in stable condition.
