NEW ORLEANS — A Coast Guard MH-60T Jayhawk aircrew rescue seven boaters from their grounded vessel in North Breton Island, Louisiana.
Coast Guard Sector New Orleans watchstanders received a report of a 30-foot center console vessel aground with seven people aboard at approximately 5:45 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2023.
Coast Guard Sector New Orleans watchstanders coordinated the launch of a Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans MH-60T Jayhawk Medium-Range Recovery Helicopter aircrew to assist.
The MH-60T Jayhawk helicopter aircrew arrived on scene, deployed the rescue swimmer, hoisted the boaters and headed to land to transport them to New Orleans Lakefront Airport.
No injuries were reported.
