HOUSTON — A Coast Guard Air Station Houston MH-65E Dolphin aircrew medevac a 36-year-old woman from a jetty in Galveston, Texas. Monday, October 14, 2024.

Coast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston watchstanders received a medevac request at 3:49 p.m. from Galveston Emergency Medical Services (EMS) stating a 36-year-old woman sustained an injury to her leg.

The duty flight surgeon was consulted and recommended a medical evacuation.

Sector Houston-Galveston watchstanders coordinated the launch of a Coast Guard Air Station Houston MH-65E Dolphin Short-Range Recovery Helicopter aircrew to conduct the medical evacuation mission.

The rescue aircrew arrived on-scene, hoisted the the woman aboard the helicopter, and transported her he University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in stable condition.

The MH-65 Dolphin SRR Helicopter aircrew arrived on scene, deployed the rescue swimmer, hoisted the wounded woman and transported her to the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in stable condition.
