CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A Coast Guard Air Station Corpus Christi MH-65E Dolphin helicopter aircrew conducted the rescue of a boater (male) in the water from a capsized skiff in Redfish Bay in Corpus Christi, Texas. Tuesday, August 20, 2025 at afternoon.

Coast Guard Sector Corpus Christi watchstanders received a call from Towboat U.S. at 3:00 p.m. reporting a boater whose vessel was taking on water.

Sector Corpus Christi watchstanders directed the launch of a Coast Guard Air Station Corpus Christi MH-65E Dolphin Short-Range Recovery Helicopter aircrew to conduct the rescue.

Once on the scene, the MH-65E Dolphin SRR Helicopter aircrew deployed the rescue swimmer, safely hoisted the man and transported him to Air Station Corpus Christi.

The boater was last reported in stable condition. 

Texas Parks and Wildlife also provided assistance during the rescue.
